Getting Ready for Spring

The back of our house faces the south,   so if the sun is shining like it is today,   the kitchen...family room...the sunroom...the utility room....the master bdrm & bath.....are all flooded with sun light!

I've been thinking ahead about how I want to decorate after Valentines Day and this is what I've come up with.....first decorate for Spring then later add some bunnies and other Eastery stuff to the existing spring decor.    I usually shoot from the hip...but this spring I have a plan!

I've already begun to decorate a little for Spring in the dining area of the family room.....

This window gets lots of sun so,  when the Garden Center's open I'll replace some of these fake plants with LIVE plants!

If you look out the window,  you can see that we still have green grass in the backyard!

I know that some of you that regularly follow my blog may be getting SICK & TIRED of seeing my Roosters with the pink accents in so many posts....lol!

In the before photo,   the Roosters were sitting on the pass thru between the kitchen & the family room....

In the after photo,  you can see that they just took a short walk over to the dining room table.
I never put them away,   I just move 'um around!    They will probably show up on the buffet in the formal dining room later but who knows!

I can't wait to see if I can grow a pot of Lavendar in my sunny window....or if my black thumb will take over and I'll have to put the fake Lavendar back out!

The lit cabinet is a work in progress....my theme for this Spring is
" Apple Blossom Farm"

And YES, my Christmas tree is still up...lol!

The Christmas tree is getting a Spring makeover.....and it's still a work in progress too!

  2. I love the roosters. Not sure if I asked you before but did you paint the pink on them...were they red originally? I love the softer look of the pink. We are still about 8 weeks away from it starting to look like spring here so I am very jealous. AND you have SO MUCH sunlight in your home. I miss that in this house. xo Diana
