Decorating For Christmas

After I got the Halloween decor boxed up and put away today,   I looked thru my Thanksgiving stuff.     I really don't decorate too much for Thanksgiving,   so that didn't take long.
Then......I pulled out some of my Christmas totes.    Well,   one thing led to another and before I knew it.....I was decorating for Christmas!
The first totes at the back of the shed were full of Nutcrackers that I had decorated the fireplace mantle with last year.

I wanted to use them again this year,  but not in the same spot.     I thought a  Ballet theme would be fun to do in the dining area at the end of the family room.

Since the orchestra is such a big part of the ballet,   I wanted to include some musical instruments in my vignettes.    This is the little piano that belonged to our daughter when she was about 2-3 years old.    The ballet shoes were worn by our grand daughter.

I wanted the cabinet shelves to really sparkle,  so I added several crystal pieces.......

I used  wide musical ribbon to make a runner along the front shelf of the cabinet.

A Tutu Christmas tree is a perfect addition to my Ballet theme.....

Crystal bowls full of hand painted ornaments
Nutcrackers dressed in sequined uniforms sparkle under the lights....

I have a white violin,   a gold one,  and one decorated with roses in the cabinet.....

My Ballet theme wouldn't be complete without a Swan....

The vintage Ballerina's were my Mothers.......

I always start my Christmas decorating pretty early in the season.. so this is about the right time for me to begin.      I like to take my time and enjoy the process.    I love Christmas ....I could probably leave my decor  up all year long and never get tired of it....lol!
