Easy to Make Glitzy Easter Wreath

I made an Easter wreath to hang over the fireplace mantel and  for once I remembered to take photo's as I made it....usually I don't think to do that until after I am all finished and it's too late........lol!

I started with a grapevine wreath,  then I wrapped it with a feather boa.   I only had pieces of  boa's from previous projects,  but I would say that I used about a boa and a half   (HL has them)

In photo three you can see how I took my glitzy egg garland ....folded it in half....then I took floral wire and attached it to the top of  my wreath.     I wired it again at the bottom and on both sides.

I had some pieces of gold  fern left over from a Christmas project.   All I did was tuck them in between the grapevine twigs.   If I were going to hang it outside,  I would have secured each fern stem with a dab of hot glue as I inserted it into the wreath.

In the second photo you can see that I have hot glued some larger glitzy eggs around the wreath.  The garland and the larger eggs were all bought at HL 40% off.

I had bought this roll of gold deco mesh at the after Christmas sale for 90% off.    I cut strips about 10" long....then I cut the wide strips in half.   I took my gold mesh strips and tied them to twigs.   I put gold strips about every 6-7 inches around the wreath..

I added two pink owls (Michael's)  and set my new wreath on the fireplace mantel.
