Vintage Door Corner Cabinet Styled for Spring & a Free Printable Banner

H made a corner cabinet using old chippy doors for the awkward space between the fridge and a doorway.    My corner cabinet sits in an area of the kitchen where there is heavy traffic coming from all directions.... the entry,  the hallway to the bedrooms,  and the family room.    I try to make my busy intersection a happy place by decorating the cabinet for holidays and seasons.

I created simple vignettes for each shelf using just a few pieces of Spring decor

On the first shelf,    I have the newest member that I just added to my ever growing collection of bunnies.   I spotted this sweet bunny the other day at TJ Maxx and knew I had to make room for her!    H added a metal clip to one of my vintage potato mashers so I could use it as a sign holder.

The next 2 shelves have spring bouquets on them.    I used matching vases to create my bouquets on each shelf.....they have all been found at different times when I have been out shopping at yard sales.   Lots of my good stuff has come from yard sales!

I hung a new Spring paper banner across the top shelf of the corner cabinet.    Here is where I found my FREE sign that I just printed off on my home printer.....https://inkhappi.com/printable-spring-banner/

All of the alphabet is available at Inkhappi so you can print whatever letters you need to make a banner for any holiday or season....pretty cool huh!

If you haven't had a chance to visit the entry decorated for Spring,   here's a link to that post......http://penny-pennystreasures.blogspot.com/2022/03/easter-entry.html

I need to add a few finishing touches before I will be ready to give you guys a complete tour of my Spring Kitchen.....so ....stay tuned!.

  2. So cute and perfect to welcome spring! Clever idea of your hub's to add a clip to the potato masher handle to hold a card.

  3. Good morning and Happy Friday! Oh, how absolutely daring is your bunny from my favorite store, TJ Maxx. I have shopped with them for over 30 years. I could probably open my own TJ Maxx.
I do love, love your Spring decorations this year. I love how you can come up with so many new ideas. What fun you must have with your dear sweetie, Mr H.
Thanks for your wonderful, fun filled home. I feel like you are our sister. Ok, we should all converge on you some weekend, ha, ha, ha, wouldn't that look something from the 1950's?
    God Bless you always.

  7. Penny I know you already know, but I wanted to make sure I got by to say hello! I was very happy to feature your cute corner cupboard outfitted for spring at last week's Share Your Style #340 for you. <3 Soooo adorable!!! No SYS this week as I am going up to see my grandson for his second birthday ~ especially since I couldn't be there for his birth nor last year due to Covid... Will be making up for it now!

Have a great rest of your week and stay cool out there. We had 91-92 degrees out here yesterday (North Texas) but the heat hasn't really begun yet. It was bearable.

    Hugs,
    Barb :)
