Idea's for a Christmas Tablescape

Just a few days left til Christmas....I am getting so excited!   I have all my decorating done...all the presents are wrapped...now it's time to plan the menu and decide how to set the table for our family Christmas dinner!

As many of you already know,  I love to have fun with my tablescapes.   The one above is from 2012....I used my best table cloth and draped fur coats on the chairs for a touch of whimsey!

The decorations on the table are pretty simple...I put a tree and some Christmas ornaments on a pink cake plate for the the "centerpiece" ...crystal candle holders have vintage ornaments where the candles would normally go...I added a few Santa heads , a couple more trees...and the table is done!

The center piece for this table is a metal cup holder tree.  I hung some pretty tea cups on it and a few Santa heads.   I used paper place mats that I got at TJ Maxx...simple white ironstone plates layered with one colored plate.

If you can only afford one set of dishes...make them white!   

For this centerpiece, I used a vintage wooden bread bowl....but any bowl or basket will do!   Fill it with Christmas goodies and you are done!

For a touch of Christmas...add a piece of ribbon candy or a small tree...
