Macaroon Sugar Cookies

H always makes Macaroon Sugar Cookies at Christmas.   He makes them for the grands......neighbors...everyone loves them!  He's making a batch today and the house smells so good

I love to put them in cute little boxes and give them as gifts....

H cut the recipe off a Hungry Jack box about 15 years ago.   We don't have instant mashed potatoes often but we keep a box in the freezer for his cookies ...he also adds a few flakes of instant potatoes to his pancake batter...makes the pancakes light and fluffy!

Here is the original recipe that he has used so many years!

Just follow the directions....

The grands love help....it's fun to smash the balls of dough with a glass dipped in sugar!

But the REALLY fun part is eating them warm out of the oven!

This is Kyleigh's brother, Austin......our youngest grand son (16)  He recently got his drivers licenses and yesterday he got a "new to him" pickup.   Austin is an honor student and just made 1st chair Baritone Saxophone in the All State Concert Band....just had to brag on him a little...tehee!  

I bought these cute containers at TJ Maxx on clearance last season.  The Merry Christmas cupcake one is so sweet and I love the pink poodle with a candy cane in her mouth!
