Trash To Treasure

When H was taking out the trash yesterday,  he noticed two old chairs had been thrown in the dumpster......our neighbors really do have the best trash......lol!   A few weeks ago he found a very nice...very large dog kennel..... but back to the chairs

All the pieces to the back of the chair were there,  but in really bad shape.   I loved the peely, chippy look of the chair and decided not to paint it.

H sawed off the back of the chair,  applied a few coats of poly to seal the chippy paint.....

Added a vintage TV tray to the top....

and we have a sweet little table to have a glass of tea on in the greenhouse!

I have a couple of other new additions to the green house.    I repurposed a baby changing table....it is now a place to set plants on the top shelf and the next two shelves are for odds and ends.    I put a burlap skirt around it to hide the "odds & ends".

I planted a tomato plant and some heirloom chives in a big bucket.   I added a cute turtle for some whimsey and a solar light for fun.

We needed a large bucket to put this tomato plant in....it's going to get pretty big!   We found these 5 gal pails at Lowes for less than $3.   I added a burlap bow to dress them up a little

I planted some spinach, radish, and dill seeds in the containers that are  on the top shelf of the potting table.

  I can't wait to start picking some fresh veggies!
