No Sew Shabby Chic Swing Canopy and Seat Cover

I have had this wicker swing for about 15 years and have "recovered" it many many times.    I wanted to show you how I do it.....fast ( a couple of hours) ...... easy ( no sew )  and inexpensive (less than $10)
 First.... I keep an eye out during yard sale season for a full size comforter, dust ruffle, shams, and sheet set.....for less than $10 and in a color that I like!.

On the left,  you can see how the swing looked this morning.  The canopy "dust ruffle" was still hanging on after being wind blown , rained on,  and snowed on for about a year.  The comforter was still pretty good...forgot to get a photo of it before H cut it into 4 pieces for the cats to lay on out in the yard.   I hate to throw away anything...lol!
On the right,  you can see how the swing looked after a couple of hours!

The dust ruffle that I used last year was a twin size  .....the one I used this year is a full size.

Several years ago,  H covered the canopy frame with chicken wire to give me more area to attach the dust ruffle.

I use safety pins and cloths pins to attach the dust ruffle to the chicken wire and metal frame.

The dust ruffle hung beyond the metal frame so I gathered it up on each end.    I secured the "tail" with a piece of wire and tied a bow around it from strips that I tore from the floral sheet that came in the set.   

I attached matching bows to the front of the canopy with wire.    

Here is a photo of the under side of the canopy.

I laid the comforter on the wicker swing and tied it in 4 places to make sure it doesn't blow off.    I used the two matching shams as a seat cushion and back pillow in the green wicker chair.   

I safety pinned long strips of the matching sheet to the comforter and tied a bow around the swing to hold it on.   So there you have it..... no sew.....easy.....inexpensive....

I had plenty of time left before lunch to hang some flags on the clothes line.....

Sit and swing awhile.....

and enjoy the yard!

 The wildflowers that are planted next to the green house are beginning to come up.    I have wildflowers planted all over the yard ,  and  I am hoping that the back yard will look like a wildflower field!
