Spring Lilacs

I showed you these beautiful silk lilacs in an earlier post about our great finds at the auction and yard sales this past week end.    I couldn't wait to use them in a spring vignette.
  I got 5 big stems for $10....they were actually more like tree limbs!   So,  I wired three of them together and made a 7' tree (on the right side of the sofa)   and the other two stems I just layed on the sofa table  (on the left side of the sofa )

I bought the new cream  mirror hanging over the sofa for $12.50 at the auction last Saturday.....

Here is how the mirror looked before H gave it a coat of cream paint.

I distressed the mirror a little to give it a vintage look.

  The small dining room is reflecting in the mirror....

I love how the mirror reflects different area's of the family room.

The lilac stems are so pretty....... florist quality.....I was so lucky to get them at such a great price.

See the fireplace reflecting in the mirror....and my head to the right of the tea set!   It's so hard to photograph a mirror and keep out of the picture!

Here is the new vignette "now"       .....below you can see how it looked "before".

I took down all the roses that framed the curtains behind the sofa.....I hung the heart wreath that was above the sofa in the small dining room....I put the  white frame in storage.     I also made some changes above the buffet.    I took down the architectural piece and hung it in the dining room.   In its place,  I put a frame containing china cups and saucers  (you can see it in the above picture)
As you can see,   I didn't have anything on the table behind the sofa,      In the photo below,  you will see how I used two children's chairs,  a small table,   and a tea set to make a cute vignette on the sofa table.
