Pumpkin Stem Mushrooms

I couldn't wait to share the mushrooms I made today using pumpkin stems.

This was such a fun project......

When my pumpkins are thrown away at the end of the season,   I always save the stem and let it dry to use in projects.

I will try to share plenty of close up photo's in case you might want to try your hand at making some to use in your fall decor.

I used my mushrooms in a vignette I have on the pass thru facing the family dining room.....

The first photo shows the dining room side and the second photo shows the kitchen side.    Since both sides have "common" pieces that sit in the middle,   I try to use similar decor on both sides.     I used white owls on both sides this time.

In the center of the pass thru,   I have an old barn canvas picture and a peely tool box..     I filled the tool box with a nest,  two baby owls,  and more pumpkin stem mushroom.

I have the good side of this pastel pumpkin facing the kitchen side of the pass thru,    and the rustic side is on the dining room side.

Two more pumpkin stem mushrooms are perched on the top of the pumpkin......

These two pumpkin stem mushrooms are at the base of the big pumpkin .....as well as another white owl couple.

I also added two white owl couples to the centerpiece I used last week for my tablescape.

You can see I've cleared the dishes away since last week.  
 I also had to change out the vignette on the pass thru because all that dried stuff around the rooster was falling on the floor.
