Adorable Pumpkins made with Everyday Things

I know,  I know.....it's not officially fall yet but after I created these adorable pumpkins I just couldn't bring myself to put them away until the "right time" to put them out!    When I looked at the pumpkins I had on hand from years past,   I knew I wanted something a little more home made this year.    So,  I got busy making pumpkins.....

The first one I want to share with you guys was made by combining Dollar Tree trays with cottage fabric to make and throwing in a little heavy duty foil into the mix.

I have seen this Dollar Tree pumpkin many times on the web mostly just painted with a bow attached to the stem.,  but I wanted mine to reflect my own personality.    I chose not to paint mine since I wanted an elegant pumpkin with a cottage flare.    Another reason I didn't paint mine was that I wanted to construct a stem using heavy duty foil.......something I had been wanting to try my hand at.

My stem looks kinda messy from the back but it looks like I had visioned from the front,   so who cares?

The next pumpkin I want to share is made using a silver tray with 3 compantments.

I filled each compantment with fabric that I had left over from the slip covers that I made for the sofa.   If you missed that post here's a link to it.....http://penny-pennystreasures.blogspot.com/2021/06/cottage-slipcovers-layered-rugs-for-our.html

The last pumpkin I created was so so simple!

It doesn't get any simplier than to marry an empty frame....ornate easel....burlap ribbon.....and a littlebit of heavy bark ribbon  for the stem.

I think the bark ribbon came from Hobby Lobby several years ago,   but I'm sure that you guys can think of a good substitute if they don't still carry it.     Maybe a piece of twisted brown paper bag would work!

My Pumpkin sign is a recent purchase from TJ Maxx....under $20.    And...... as you might suspect,    I couldn't bring myself to put it away until fall is officially here....hehe!
