Seamless Transitioning from Outdoors to Indoors for the Summer

My plan for this summer is to make the transition from outdoors to indoors as seamless as possible.    I hope to accomplish that by decorating the first room you enter as you come into our home in a light & airy garden theme.
When you enter the house from the back yard,   you come directly into the sun room.   The sun room is filled with lots of plants and white wicker furniture that make the transition seamless.

If you come in thru the front door,   the entry is the first room you enter.     The entry has very little natural light so it makes my job of decorating  somewhat harder....well a whole lot harder to be honest.    One simple thing I have done to make my job a little easier is to replace all the light bulbs in the entry with Daylight ones.    The difference is amazing.....the entry is so much lighter and has a feeling of still being outdoors!

Now,   let's look at the first wall you see as you come inside.....

I have kept the decor light and airy using lots of white and green......

I tucked some pretty faux white pansies into a store bought wreath to give it a "Springier" look.

I created a succulent garden in a white tiered planter......of course,   all the succulents are faux since there is no natural light in the entry.

Adding birds,   fern pots,  and a metal Home Sweet Home sign to my entry table helps give the room an outdoor feeling.

Under the entry table is a concrete Rooster, sheep, and  a wooden sign that says "Welcome to our Garden"

I still have 2 more walls in the entry to decorate in a way that will hopefully complete the look I am going for.

Be back soon with a tour of the entry's new outdoor look.....hugs

Thank you for sharing your seasonal decor at Create, Bake, Grow & Gather this week. I'm delighted to be featuring it at the party tonight and pinning too.
