I believe that lighting is one of the most important ways to create a warm, homey, and welcoming ambience for our guests as they enter our home |
Entryways are often darker area's with little natural light and very few windows. My entry is also narrow so it needs extra supplimental lighting to make it inviting and welcoming. |
I've added candles both scented and battery operated to add warmth to the entry..... |
I try to keep the decor in the entry as simple as I possibly can.....and I really need to work on that since I tend to over decorate! |
I've added a few simple lit fall white birch tree's to the entry for some soft warm lighting. |
The tree's also add an outdoor element to the entry..... |
This little table is where I usually set the remote that turns on the lights in the entry. Where have I laid it down now? |
I have a basket under the bench that I can pull out if I need a place to put some wet shoes. It very seldom rains or snows here in Eastern New Mexico, so my basket is just like new....lol! |
A large mirror can also be very helpful when decorating an entry as it expands the space and also brings in additional light. |
Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit....come back soon! |
Very cozy entry way
ReplyDeleteI love the colour palette you've used for your fall entry Penny.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your tips for creating a welcoming fall entry at Create, Bake, Grow & Gather this week. I'm delighted to be featuring this post at the party tomorrow and pinning too.
