Going Home
Today we are in Cortland New York. My husband was born here and spent the first 25 years of his life in this beautiful home. Howard's parents raised seven children here and lived her for over 35 years. When they died, the home was sold to a wonderful couple that turned it into a bed and breakfast. ( the home has 33 rooms!!) I am joining the parties at http://romantichome.blogspot.com/ http://frenchcountrycottage.blogspot.com http://thecharmofhome.blogspot.com/
Oh what an amazing house. I love it. 33 rooms. That would be heaven. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteOH wow Penny...what a treat to see such a beautiful home and gardens! There aren't any homes like this in Australia that I've seen and I love this style. What a privilege for your husband to grow up in such a house and with seven children it must have been wonderful to have the space....ALL 33 ROOMS!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place! Its fun that it is a bed and breakfast. If you felt like it you could stay there--how fun!
ReplyDeleteChe posto incantevole!Saluti,Rosetta

ReplyDeletePenny,
ReplyDeleteThe house and grounds are just beautiful! It is nice that you and your husband can visit. I was born in Syracuse N.Y., so I know how lovely it is in Cortland.
Have a great weekend,
Kathleen

What a beautiful house. While I was growing up my aunt, uncle and cousin lived in Cortland, NY and I spent lots of time every summer visiting them. They also had a beautiful house and I have wonderful memories of my summers with them.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely memories. 33 rooms - that's a lot of rooms to clean but I'm sure it was a wonderful place to grow up.

Hi Penny, It is so nice to meet you. What a lovely old home and yellow too, my favorite color for a victorian house. I could be so happy in an old house like that.

Hi Penny:
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh. This wouldn't happen to be near Hadley NY would it? If not, it's a duplicate of a beautiful bed and breakfast up near my sister in law's summer home. Thanks for sharing!
