I Love Milk Glass!!

This is a post about milk glass, textures, whites, off whites, pumpkins, and fall!   I started on the buffet with some milk glass cake stands.  I added some sweater pumpkins and of course, I had to put some bling on the punkins!! 



The floral design is in a milk glass pitcher.

When we eat at this table, you can see out in the back yard.  It's a great view, but  doesn't photograph well because of the glare!

I got this little girl when we were in Branson this past summer.  I   found her a vintage wool hat, scarf, and lots of pearls.

Doesn't she have a sweet face?

This is a close up of the sweater pumpkins.


This is another pumpkin that I made.  I like to use real dried pumpkin stems on them. 

I love to stack cake plates!


Look at all the texture on the "tablecloth/bedspread"!

I layered my plates on the table.  I chose a vintage bedspread for the tablecloth.  It is very textured and quite thick.  I used milk glass cups and glasses that belonged to my mother.  The party plates that I used were also hers,  they were frequently used  for showers, parties, and weddings, my mother loved to entertain.

On one wall of the dining room is a built in china cabinet that I am hoping to get painted white over the winter.

I keep up the lighted floral swag above the china cabinet up all year long.  

Here is a hobnail butter server and a vintage Avon bell.  The silverware that I am using is  from the 50's.

This is the pass thru from the dining room to the kitchen. I have a few pieces of pink milk glass.  I love my square cake plate, it really looks nice with a round coconut cake on it!  Yummy!

    Your milk glass is so lovely!! There was quite a bit of milk glass at the one thrift store this week and I was so tempted but I am running out of room!!
    Love your pumpkins that you created!! So pretty!! I hope to be able to start my Fall decorting in the Living Room the last week of August. Halloween decor will come later and i do the Dining Room up for Halloween!!

    Your vintage look is wonderful!
    You would croak if you saw the white hobnail things I sold back in the 90's. My mom had them for years, she was done with them, so I used them for a while- but eventually decided to sell them.
