I did my tablescape today with my Mother's wedding china and crystal. My parents married in 1948, so these dishes are almost 65 years old! |
I think my mother purchased this gold silverware sometime in the 70's. |
The china is marked.. Stonebury, Syracuse China, Federal...I have service for 8. |
There are three different kinds of crystal glasses. |
Some unusual crochet! |
My mother collected cherry and cable. I have green, yellow, red, pink and clear that she gave me. |
A beautiful butter dish! |
Another butter dish, depression glass I think! |
You can see our freshly painted cabinets from the table. I just love them! |
Another piece of pink cherry and cable. |
Just beautiful, Penny! Love the pink and florals. Have a lovely weekend.

What beautiful pink glassware and dishs you have. Pink Heaven. How special they are from your mother and treasured all the more. I enlarged all of the pictures to see better. What a lovely one number 6 is. I never heard of cherry and cable but my daughter's American Girl doll has a pitcher with that pattern I believe. Off to investigate.

A gorgeous table! Your Mom's china reminds me of my Mom's, but it's not exactly the same. They married in 1947, so around the same time. She also had some pink glass and crystal glasses. They're all packed up right now--but your post sure make me want to go unpack them! Thanks for the memories!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for joining in with this week's Say G'day Linky Party Penny! Your tablescape is so pretty! How lucky you are to have all these stunning pieces as part of your china collection!

what a stunning collection. And I can only imagine the sentimental feelings you must have because it was your mother's set. I'm curious if you use them much. I remember seeing an Oprah show where she encouraged everyone to use their special stuff on regular basis because 'all we have is today'...interesting idea huh?

Hi Penny, I have a weakness for beautiful old vintage china and the pink depression pieces so I loved this post. It appears that you have several dinnerware pieces manufactured by the Jeanette Glass Company... cups, creamer & sugar in the Cherry Blossom pattern (the covered butter in photo 10 looks similar but I'm not sure it's the same floral). Also another creamer & sugar and sherbets in the Jeanette Holiday pattern. Warm Hugs,
ReplyDeleteOh, your mom's wedding china is stunning, I just adore our mother's china, they are my fav heirloom, ever!! All your pink depression glass is lovely too. Beautiful post, I don't know how I missed it before...I guess I was at my daughter's for a week at that date. Again, thank you for your visit, I love having you.
