Pink and Orange Together for Fall!

I was gathering up some stuff this morning to get the front porch ready for fall and I couldn't decide what colors to use. I have so many orange decorations that I love, but I also have a lot of pink!  Then I remembered a quilt that my grandmother gave me some 30 years ago.  Her grandmother had made it and gave it to her.

I think this quilt is so beautiful, and it has lots of pink AND orange!
Back then, you didn't pick your color scheme, you used what you had to make a quilt.  This quilt means a lot to me as it was made by my great, great grandmother.

Think of all the pieces of old dresses and shirts she used to make it.

I had made this wreath last year and have showed it in another post.  All I did was add some pink roses to it and those pinkish berries.

Here is a close up.

This is the display cabinet!  Pretty peely and crusty!  That piece of wood with a nail thru it is the closer for the doors. I bought this cabinet about 5 years ago from a friend of mine at her yard sale...$40.  My husband thought I was crazy!

It's even crusty on the inside.

You may recognize this black crow from HL a few years back.   Of course, I waited until he was 80% off.

I made these wooden pumpkins a long time ago when I used to do shows, always sold good for me. Howard cut them out and I painted them.  I thought about updating the raffia with twine, but decided not to.

That pumpkin under the wreath is made out of wax, and has a removable candle in the center. It is beautiful of a night when it is lit.  Don't worry, I am taking that precious quilt right back inside, I only brought it out to get good pictures. You can find me at these partys!
