Ringing in the New Year

Happy New Year!

We are going to a small party for New Years eve tonight, but I will have the kids over for New Years Day.....

I'm going to have the appitizers set up in the small dining room.  I thought a Paris theme would be fun!

I decorated the buffet with vintage clocks and a Ringing in the New Year tree....we got a light dusting of snow last night that you can see thru the window!

H cut some branches from the snow ball tree in the back yard ....
I potted the branches in a silver champagne bucket.

I decorated the branches with some bell ornaments...

so we could....

Ring in the New Year!

I put some vintage clocks on the buffet, some clock parts,

and Eiffel towers

In the corner, I made a wine bottle holder from a stack of three milk crates.   H bought them at a yard sale this past summer for $20 for five...

You will see the bottle of chocolate wine on the right is empty...it's my favorite !

Here's the vignette on the top of the milk crates.

I took out the Christmas cards that were strung on these  picture frames and hung some clocks.

Here are two more milk crates stacked and filled with the pink poinsettias that I have enjoyed all season...they still look beautiful.

I have a vignette set up on the pass thru to the kitchen...

I have some cheese ornaments and Paris themed decorations..

I filled the beverage dispenser with Mercury glass ornaments and hung a  blingy P  from the candelabra

I hung a Paris sign at the end of the table....

The table is set up for the finger food we will have tomorro.  We will have a dinner late in the day in the big dining room.  It is still decorated for Christmas!  We are having the traditional "lucky" foods....Pork (baby back ribs) , greens (for prosperity), and of course black eyed peas!

We will "graze" and play games on New Years day...You all know how much I love flowers, so I am looking forward to the Rose Parade in the morning

Well, Christmas is behind us....

The presents have all been opened and the Christmas cards  delivered....

The Christmas tree  in the background will be taken down later this week.     I am excited to start a new year and want to wish all of you a blessed and happy 2013!
