Spring has come to our Bedroom

Spring has come to our bedroom!  I decorated our bedroom around a beautiful quilt that belonged to my mother.  The quilt has shades of lavender, white, and green in it.

I used vintage pillow cases...peacocks and gingham checks!

The embroidery work on these pillow cases is just gorgeous!

The quilt is very  "puffy"....

It has hearts down the sides.

I made a spring arrangement in a vintage pitcher and bowl set....
I used silk flowers in pink and shades of lavender...

I added some cute spring bunnies to the vignette...

On the other side of the bed, I made a floral design with spring branches, lilacs,  and lavender.

I have a mother bunny and her babies on the side table.

I added some vintage doilies to the pillow cases.

I love our new bedroom!    Happy Spring!

  10. Penny,
Just beautiful!! You have so many lovely linen pieces!!

And purple/lavender is one of my favorite colors. The walls of my bedroom when I lived at home with my parents were a deep shade of lavender.

  15. Love, love, love that quilt! The purple is divine (says the lady who lives in a lavender house!) and the heart motifs are gorgeous. As the mother of a heart transplant recipient, I have a real "soft spot" for anything with a heart on it !!!!!

    Happy Pink Saturday,

  19. I love the colors. Normally I like a more visually quiet bedroom but yours is eye candy for the soul...

  20. Hum... I never thought of changing out the bedding for the season. But it is a great idea. More ways to use more quilting as I do more quilting. I like the way yours turned out, including all the little touches.

  21. Your room is lovely. I love the colors in the quilt and they do say spring. We could use a little spring decor to brighten up our home especially with the gray days we are having.
