Decorating our Granddaughters Bedroom

It's been a while since I have freshened  Kyleigh's room so I changed out a few of the accessories this morning.   She started ballet lessons last Wednesday,  so I decided to use some of her collector Barbies in the new vignettes.

If you follow my blog,  you know that Kyleigh is our 7 year old grandaughter that lives with us 3-4 days a week (if you don't follow my blog, shame on you.....lol)   Our daughter is a flight nurse and is gone a couple of days at a time and her dad works at the Railroad and is also gone for days at a time.

I also need to tell you that Kyleigh doesn't sleep in this room,   she has always slept with me.   She doesn't play in this room either....she plays in her big area in the studio.   So basicly,  she has her clothes in the closet and her socks and stuff in the drawers.
I hung aTutu wreath on the mirror and placed some boxes on the dresser for her to put "her stuff" in.    To the side of her dresser,  I finally got the vintage oil paintings hung that I bought at the auction a few weeks ago. 

The original color on the frames looks great with the color scheme of her room.

There were 2 small paintings and one larger one that I was able to get the bid on.....$27.00 for all three....

I carefully slipped out the cardboard that holds the Barbies in their box and placed the little ballerinas around the room.

I have her room done in soft pastels.....aqua, yellow, pink and cream.    

I "framed" this Ballerina by just placing her inside an empty frame.....

I have placed pretty boxes around the room for Kyleigh to store some of her "treasures" in.  Ballerina  Frog is sitting on a bed of pearls....lol.
