My First Coffee Filter Wreath

I have been wanting a coffee filter wreath for a long time.   Can I tell you a secret....don't tell anyone....

I didn't want to make one!
They look easy enough to make,  but looks like it would take a loooong time to make it.   I've watched the tutorials.... dye the coffee filters.....lay them out to dry.....  poke or glue each one to a wreath....well,   it was enough to convince me that I didn't want to make one.     I found this one at a little local shop .....Rust and Roses.   It was the right price,  but a little too white for me.    So I sprayed it with some glimmer mist ( from Hobby Lobby)  and aged those white coffee filters in two minutes flat.
The mist ages and glitters the filters in one step....great stuff.   I left my wreath plain except for a bow.   I may add some flowers to it after Christmas.

I have always hung these  Victorian stockings on my fireplace mantle but I wanted to do something different with them this year.    I hung them on the knobs of the china cabinet.....

filled the stockings with some pale pink and cream silk hydrangeas.....

I love the new look

Merry Christmas
