Easter Mantle

What do you do when the weather outside is nasty and cold......stay inside and decorate for Easter,   of course.
When the weather man said we had a cold spell heading our way,   H and  I went out to the studio and brought in several boxes of spring and Easter decor to play with for a few days.     Well,   he's not playing with Easter decor...lol....he's busy painting more of the cabinets in the kitchen.

I made some pale green fabric roses to add to the rag strips that were already on the mantle scarf.    I also added  a pink silk rose spray and a couple of Easter eggs .

This sweet bunny is new.....or rather...new to me.    It is one of my yard sale treasures last summer..

I don't remember where I bought the ceramic Easter houses that I used on the mantle because I have had them forever!

I used the lit houses for years,  grew tired of them,  packed them away and forgot about them.   Soooo,   they are new to me!

Here's the Easter barn and there is an Easter tree house further down this post.

I love my sequined Easter banner and use it every year.   Last year it was hung on the mantle in the guest bedroom.

This is the Easter tree house I was telling you about.....

  1. Penny,
Just beautiful!! Love the roses and the houses. We may actually hit 30 today ( first time in a week) but only for a day because high's in the teens predicted for 2 days after. I will head up into the attic to get the Winter boxes down so i can start packing that away. Temps. are supposed to be 30 and above starting on Sunday...... Perfect as I am getting my knee injected next Tuesday and will be off for the rest of the week until the weekend.....
I am so ready for Spring and looking forward to decorating for Easter!!

Thanks so much for all your visits and sweet comments, my friend!!

    Hugs,
    Deb
