The painting is all done, but there is still lots to do yet...... |
As you can see, the potting shed was in pretty rough shape..... |
For the most part, we had used left over materials to build the potting shed...... |
I am still looking for material to cover my $2 yard sale chair and I want to add a few pink touches to my lamps..... |
You can see the before color of the footboard/headboard bench in the photo on the left. |
Wow magical moments are to be had! So many cute things to look at, um glad you are changing the look of that lamp! Kyleigh will love this!

How I would have loved that lamp as a young bride. I was able to have ONE lamp with all the ruffles and I loved it. Unfortunately, I had to settle for the modern cheap furniture and couldn't afford the maple that most people had.
ReplyDeleteIt was a time of ruffles..*sigh*
I am wondering how you will be able to work the lamp with pink. I am SO into lamp shades lately. Custom made ones and the style of this one would be so much fun to copy ..in pinks and light greens??. It's beautiful as it is..but you are right. It doesn't work there. The shape of the base is wonderful..as is the shade.. They do have fabric paint..but I've never used it. I wonder how well it works. Have you ever tried it?
I was wondering if you ever hesitate to change something that is in FINE retro condition? I have heard people moan at me "OH NO! You aren't going to alter that, ARE you?" Answer? Yep!!!! I am! :)
My problem is keeping everything clean. I'm definitely getting help this coming year. I can't wait to see the finished tea room. It's fun watching you have fun! What a great guy you have to help you. A wonderful combination, you two. Mona
Oh...My.... I bet you could easily spend all day in the Tea Room....I know I could! :) Wow, what a glorious place to simply sit and enjoy. You are amazing, Penny. Thanks for sharing with Roses of Inspiration - it's always a joy to have you at the party.
