Here's a stroll thru the last couple of months..........Fall.....Christmas.....and now |
The pass thru is clutter free too and I would like to do something different than I had there in 2016..... |
The left photo was how it looked this morning.......the right is now......... |
One of the last updates we did was to give the inside of the kitchen cabinets a mini makeover...... |
We stapled fabric to some of the cabinet doors and painted pink chalk boards on some of the others. |
I can't wait to get started! |
I think it looks wonderful, Penny. It seems so much bigger than I thought.... Fresh and bright---a clean slate so to speak. I like the idea of the tiles and think that might look quite nice.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you. xo Diana
Whether there is clutter or none...I drool over your kitchen :D
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful Penny. Your kitchen is so uplifting. Enjoy and have fun. Happy New Year. xo
ReplyDeletePenny,
ReplyDeleteI know whatever you do will be wonderful!! And i will say it again as I know I have said in the past, I wish I had a Kitchen your size ....to decorate...not to cook in!!
LOL!
Hugs,
Deb
I LOVE your kitchen! Especially your chandelier!
ReplyDeleteI love it.....the idea of the idea of the appliance garage---outta sight....the tile idea is great too! I love your kitchen, sooo spacious. Can't wait to see what you come up with.
ReplyDeleteRegards,
Lily
Are you going through withdrawals? :-)
ReplyDeleteI put the faux tiles up in my kitchen, and I love them! You can paint them any color! Home depot online has great prices!
ReplyDeleteI love your kitchen! Now I want to put fabric on the inside of my cabinets!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your great ideas!
I think the ceiling tiles would be pretty. Sometimes it's nice to just make a fresh start & a total makeover.
ReplyDeleteYour kitchen is stunning, gorgeous
ReplyDeleteHugs Alessandra
ReplyDeleteI also like the clean slate look, however I know your like me and it won't stay that way very long we have to many pretties to display.
I'm sure the ceiling tiles will be pretty, The tin ones? that look like 1800's?
Hmmm, how about appliance garages made with tin tiles as doors? I know your hubby is pretty handy. That is the only thing we weren't able to work into our new kitchen was a place for the mixer. It's so darn heavy, but I didn't really want to eat up any counter space. And your kitchen looks great. Sandi
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love your kitchen! I'm looking forward to what you will share with us this year. Thank you for sharing with us this week at Celebrate Your Story, have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of nice to be a minimalist, even if just for a day. Lol! I've already added winter décor to my counters. Thanks for sharing with SYC. Looking forward to seeing what you do.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
Love your kitchen gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLooking great Penny, do you ever rest? Think ceiling tiles would be very nice accent to your style. Think using tiles for appliance garage doors is good idea also. Read comments, noticed that suggestion. Love fabric on inside of cabinet doors.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year and good health.
Wow! Beautiful! You've hit a cord of my inner Victorian! I love your blog!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful kitchen and to have all that counter space. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty kitchen!
ReplyDeletePenny I love your kitchen and how you decorated the inside of your cabinet doors. Those little doilies might be handy storage solutions. As much as I love all of your pretty decor and collections, I do love the crisp clear look in your kitchen. It truly doesn't need very much decor at all with all the pretty details in the hardware and the plates above your cabinets.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing with us at Thursday Favorite Things. Beautiful as always.
Happy New Year, my friend. :D
Love the fabric on the inside of the cabinets!
ReplyDeleteI love the clean, uncluttered look on your cabinets. Fresh and bright. Great job. Can't wait what you decide to do in the new year.
ReplyDeletePenny, I have a pass thru in my kitchen too and I decorate it with seasonal stuff. It tends to get busy, but like you right now I have it pretty bare. Lol Thanks for sharing at Home Sweet Home.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful kitchen! I love your crystal chandeliers, so don't change those. :) The soft creamy colors are so pretty. Thank you for sharing your tour at the #HomeMattersParty this week. Hope to see you link up again on Friday!
ReplyDeleteSo fun to see your "blank slate" Penny! I'm madly in love with the fabric "lining" of your cupboard doors--what a clever idea. I think ceiling tiles would make a lovely back splash and I would be so jealous if you install appliance garages--lol. I think they are a terrific idea. Thanks so much for being a faithful party-er at Vintage Charm--
ReplyDeleteGreat ideas!! :)

Penny I've never seen your kitchen like this before. I have to admit that even when it is bare it still looks full and very pretty. That special touch inside the cabinets makes all the difference. I can't wait to see what you'll come up with this year.
ReplyDeleteWow, the stapling the fabric on the back idea was stunning! I never would’ve considered that. I've remodeled more than one kitchen in my day. I hope your decorating turned out well; I always love to decorate for the holidays or even when the season changes. I know it takes time, but it's always so worth it!
