Pink and aqua....two colors that complement each other so well....pinkqua! |
Before...................................................................................................After |
I also have some pink and aqua touches around the dining area. My yard sale BAKERY sign in the kitchen can be seen from the dining area too. |
Now for a look around the dining table...... |
I've "married " vintage aqua and pink dishes that have a similar pattern..... |
I just love these two colors together. |
My table runner has a pretty pink and floral ruffle on each end. The centerpiece is a simple white box filled with silk flowers. |
These colors really show off the piece of leaded glass that hangs in the dining room window year round. |
I decorated the small buffet with more pieces of aqua and pink |
I also used some of my pink milk glass pieces too..... |
I was at Michael"s the other day and couldn't resist picking up some pretty pink tulips.....can't wait for spring! |
I think my choice of colors for this tablescape reflect how I'm already thinking ahead to spring ......even though the weather outside tells me it's still winter...lol! |
I adore this color scheme. I love the 50s Bel Air looking car and the bakery sign. I just spied you antique phone. It is fabulous painted white. Your china is precious.
ReplyDeleteAqua is my favorite color to the point that it's almost an obsession. Yesterday, I found an aqua, free-form, hand made pottery dish featuring the outline of the island of Bermuda. Love the way you've combined the different dishes too.
ReplyDeleteThe aqua really brightens up the pink. When their is too much pink somewhere, I always think of the line from "Steel Magnolias" about the church, lol. Anyways, loving the aqua mixed in. Grins, Sandi
ReplyDeleteI love these colours, they are very romantic and soothing

So pretty . . . I love the touches of color :)
ReplyDeleteWe got 12" of snow on Saturday here in Alpine, but my thoughts are of spring as well. I too love a pink/aqua combo. Especially for spring. Beautiful table Penny! Thanks for sharing with SYC.

Penny, love the tulips, but I lust after that extremely long buffet and hutch/cabinet in your dining room. I might be able to store most of my dishes in one like that.
