Weekend Treasure Hunt

H and I took a road trip to Amarillo Texas on Saturday to have lunch.....shop.....and do a little junkin'.

I found a few things....more things than I should have or needed too....lol!

I am a sucker for gorgeous silver!    The big pot in the center was marked down from $35 to $20.    The lady hosting the yard sale bundled the smaller silver tea pot.....butter dish....and creamer for a great price of $5.

Vintage platter.....$1.     Metal sheep .....$2

This smaller vintage platter is similar to the larger one in the photo above.

There was a big flea market in this old building down town.

Lot's of goodies to be found here.....

What did we buy?

H bought a "skeleton" of a horn....non working but a great decorating piece.

I really liked the case and matching pouch.......$5

I bought a metal case ......$10

My best buy was the fabric that you see scattered around.    The white battenburg lace sham was 50 cents.
But,   the best buy was a Ralph Lauren  bedding set for $30!     There are two big sacks full of it.....what a deal!

There are TWO flat king sheets......2 fitted king sheets......4 king pillow cases........

King comforter........and two shams.....

Here you can see that the comforter is reversible.......

3 packages of valances.......

An ivory knit pillow......

And lastly......3 Euro pale blue shams.    I'm not sure if this was part of the bedding or not,   but it was in the bag!

Hope you had a wonderful week end!

  3. OMG!! What a SCORE on the Ralph Lauren bedding...and still in the packaging! I can see all the goodies that could be sewn/re-purposed from those! SWEET! The silver set isn't too shabby, either!

  4. I can't believe the price you paid for all of the Ralph Lauren. I used to have all of that exact same king size bedding with valances in my own bedroom and I paid well over $500 for all of it!! I am always amazed at all of the wonderful bargains you have purchased at flea markets and garage sales.

  10. As I am a pink rose fanatic, I thought your bedding was fantastic; will be great to redecorate a room! I have been known to use a quilt to cover a tired couch! And valances look great alone or with sheers or over solid colors....I envy you the combinations. Enjoy!
