Repurpose your old Crib Spindles into Spring Carrots

I'm always looking for new ways to include carrots in my spring decorating and repurposing my old crib spindles into carrots was a fun and easy project.

I've picked up old spindles at yard sales for years and have a good sized stash of them to use in different projects.

My collection of spindles are in different colors and stages of chippy peely paint......lol!

For contrast and texture,   I arranged my chippy peely carrots in a beautiful crystal vase.

I put a  Debi Coules  canvas print on each side of my carrot bouquet.......

Some of  the green spindles that I made into carrots came from the crib ends that were being used as yard art in the back yard .    After the crib was in the yard for several years.   it was pretty chippy and started coming apart so we put it with my spindle stash.

I didn't get a pic of the greenery bush I used  before I cut it apart.   My bush came from At Home,  but most of the craft stores have bushes that will work as carrot tops.

If you have more ideas on how to repurpose spindles,  I would love to hear them!

I always enjoy your visits so much,   please come back again soon!
