Grillin & Chillin on the Porch

H loves to grill & chill on the front porch when we entertain friends and family.    Don't ask me why,  but for some reason we've never had a spot on the porch for him to grill.....he just drags out the grill and cooks on the driveway!

I thought it was about time he had a permanent place for his grill....an outdoor kitchen of sorts.....lol!

I decided to make his kitchen in the far end of the porch where out chaise lounges were.    I moved them to a new home that I will share with you guys later.

I created his new grilling area with stuff I already had on hand.

.    I hung a framed prayer for our country above the grill......

I filled a vintage ice cream freezer with red geraniums and attached a cute BBQ sign on the front of it.....

I wanted some kind of a buffet near the grill for H to serve food on......

I have the buffet decorated in a Patriotic theme right now,   but I can easily remove it when H needs the space to serve food on

I don't see us being out of quarantine anytime soon,    maybe we can entertain a small group around Memorial Day......

You've seen H's new buffet many times on the short wall next to the front door.  It found a new home in his outdoor kitchen.    H gave it a mini makeover by adding some galvanized metal to it.   His spare propane tank fits perfect behind the metal in the little area between the bottom drawers.

The summer front porch is really coming together......

Next on my list is the big table......I plan to make a pretty Patriotic centerpiece for it!

Be back soon to share more progress on the front porch!

  8. Penny, you are so clever! What a good idea to create a grilling space using things you had on hand. Now you have a functional spot that also looks good, and you didn't have to spend lots of money on it!
