Cozy Christmas Porch

The weather is still mild here in Eastern New Mexico and we are enjoying sitting in the sun on our cozy back porch.     This porch comes directly off the sun room,  so one minute we can be enjoying an al fresco lunch on the porch and walk a few steps inside and take a short nap on the sofa in the sun room.

The porch is warm and sunny during the day,   but it is cool and cozy when the sun sets.

Our goal for the day was to get the mantel decorated for Christmas,   make a centerpiece for the table,   decorate the chandeliers and get out the blankets and pillows for the settee's.    

We were able to get everything done with plenty of time left to relax on the porch.

I thought you guys might enjoy seeing the activity on the back porch every day about 4 in the afternoon.

The cats start gathering on the back porch to get the treat that H has for them......some are ours and some just drop by for their treat.      There is dry food in the feeder in the back yard for anyone that is hungry,   but the treats are only available about 4 in the afternoon.
I call the cat sitting on the table (in my centerpiece...lol)  Fluffy Butt.   You would need to see her walking away from you to get the full picture of how she got her name.   The black one staring in window watching for H is Jangle......her name has a long history that I won't go into right now....lol!   Their favorite place to sit and wait is on the padded chairs......where you can see the other two waiting.       

Jangle looks irritated....probably because I'm taking photo's instead of bringing out the treats.

In the past,   I have always had an organized plan for my holiday decorating.....this year I am shooting from the hip.     Who knows where or if I will do any decorating tomorrow,   but I'll be sure to share it with you guys if I do!
