White Enamel Sleigh & Winter Tree

I haven't went to very many Christmas clearance sales this season simply because I really don't need anymore "stuff".      I did manage to drop into At Home a couple of days ago and found this great white enamel sleigh for $12 and couldn't resist picking it up.    I know .....I know.....I already have too much Christmas/ Winter decor.....lol!

I filled it with pine cones that I dipped in pink paint.     Here's a link to the post where I share a tutorial showing how I did it......http://penny-pennystreasures.blogspot.com/2017/11/pink-pinecones.html

I shared the winter decor I created on the water trough buffet a few days ago....here's a link to that post in case you missed it........http://penny-pennystreasures.blogspot.com/2021/01/winter-vignette-on-water-trough-buffet.html

I shared the Christmas tree I had the sun room earlier,   but it has a little different look for winter now.

I packed away all the Santa's and anything else that screamed Christmas......

The snow covered tree is now just decorated with winter birds.  snow balls,   and winter floral bouquets

On this side of the sun room,   I didn't make too many changes to transform it from Christmas to Winter.    I packed away the Santa's and winter pillows and moved the tree on the right side of the sofa to another room.    I couldn't bring myself to change the picture over the sofa,   it's one of my favorites     Every good and perfect thing is from above......

I always enjoy your visits so much.....please stop by again soon!

  1. Love your winter tree, Penny. I still have up my bare tree with white lights, and I just hate to take it down!

  2. Ah, I still have a few things to put away. We have spent over 2 days outside taking down all the lights and decorations. I was sad to see the darkness after having a light show in my front yard since the 30th of November, but we managed to get 90 percent put away the rest is frozen in ice ...sigh! Hugs and everything looks cozy and wintery, too! Love your sunroom.

  11. I love your little sleigh! I would have scooped it up too. The pink pinecones are a cute little touch, especially for Valentine's Day - I was actually wondering how one would decorate a farmhouse for Valentine's so this is great inspiration! You'll find it featured at this weeks Snickerdoodle Create Bake Make Link Party, which goes live today at 5pm est.
