I've often wondered how an old Mercantile looked so I Googled it, Boy was I surprised at the variety of goods carried. |
My cabinet is pretty big and I had lots of idea's of how to fill it, I was really surprised how quickly I ran out of room in the cabinet before I ran out of ideas. |
One of the shelves in my cabinet has a cute vignette that has my small collection of vintage canned goods in it.... |
An old potato masher shows off a label that might have been on a can of evaporated milk.... |
A twine holder is on a nearby shelf..... |
I normally would hang my picture on the cabinet, but I was in the mood for something a little different. I placed a large easel on the cabinet ledge and sat my picture in it...... |
My mercantile has an open and closed sign, and both sides have a display of kitchen towels hanging on one of the cabinet doors. |
A delivery truck is a must for any mercantile..... |
Goat soap and a goat milk candle.... |
I like it both ways, which way do you like the best? |
Hi, Penny---that is quite the transformation from your usual...what on earth did you do with everything in there??? Grins...simply fun and lovely!
ReplyDeleteHi Sandi, My cupboard had spring stuff in it, so all of that got moved out to the studio and put in my spring area.....hugs!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I love the mercantile sign! It looks perfect, and the small delivery truck is like the icing on the cake! We have a small milk delivery truck used in advertising for a local dairy. I love it and always have it displayed somewhere in our dining room. Thanks for sharing Penny.
