Simplified Christmas Tree

In the past,  I've literally spent hours ....and hours.....decorating our Christmas tree.   Now that we are empty nesters,   I want our tree to be "light weigh" (some of those tree's weight a ton. lol)    I also want the decor on it to be completed in a couple of hours and be simple but elegant!  

The topper on our 2024 tree is a simple bow.    I can't' tell you how many hours I've spent designing a massive topper for the tree!

The gorgeous beads I've had for years gave the simplified look I had in mind for our 2024 Christmas tree.....

I spent the time it would have taken me to wrap many, many presents designing mini vignettes under and around the tree....
Our family is Big and Blessed so we decided several years ago to draw names.   The kids draw among themselves and have so much fun playing secret Santa to their cousins.    The adults draw among themselves and enjoy buying a gift for a special person each year.     

I don't need much room for the special gifts that H and I will exchange Christmas morning.... 

 

I decided to put a tiered table next to my Christmas tree to create a few mini vignettes on....

I haven't finished my Christmas cabinet yet.....
