Spring Decorating Idea's

I was unpacking my spring totes this morning....setting things on the dining room table as I unwrapped them....one thing led to another...and I started doing little mini spring vignettes as I continued to unwrap things....do you ever "play" with stuff?   It's fun isn't it!!!

I am sure after the harsh winter, everyone is ready for spring....so ...let's start decorating!    GREEN...I love to use lots of green in my spring decorating...peas....ferns....

Over in the corner is a tall vase filled with spring pussy willow....

Asparagus cookie jar and tea pot....

When I started playing with my spring stuff,  the four Victorian chairs were at the table.   I wanted to see how the table would look set up buffet style, so I moved the chairs away.




For a little whimsy,  I added little table and chairs.   Of course, I would move these if I were actually serving food....but remember,  I'm just having fun!

In this vignette,  I have a green depression glass pitcher filled with faux asparagus and a ceramic radish bowl holding a moss globe.   

I might use some pink or green depression glass dishes to serve a dinner....

or I might use paper plates to serve a light lunch buffet!

 For a buffet,  I like to have the silverware and napkins ready for my guests in a chest rather than on the table.  My silver is all mix and match that I have collected over the years.

  I sat Humpty Dumpty in the chest just for fun!

When it gets a little closer to Easter,  I will add bunnies and eggs to some of my existing  spring vignettes.....

I already have two sweet bunnies in mind to add to this vignette.
