Organizing the Studio Part 3

The third phase of organizing the studio involved making a wall from some vintage school lockers.  

The studio is about 25'  X 25',  so we have divided it up into several smaller areas to make it more usable!    The area in the above photo has Easter decor stored in both school lockers.....the tan steamer trunk that the pink bunnies are sitting on is full of ribbon....the steamer trunk on the far right contains fabric.

The photo on the left shows the area that is now behind the locker "wall"     The photo on the right shows the "wall".

I added a umbrella to the new area.    It is a pink umbrella that has been covered with lace.....

 These are the same wedding dresses that I used at Christmas to make trees....repurpose...repurpose....

I gave the school lockers a little make over....

I am calling it Industrial Shab......  or  pink meets metal.......lol!

 I have a vintage dresser bench sitting in front of the old chippy cabinet that is part of my "wall"   I added some "charm" to the bench by dry brushing some pink paint over the wood,  and changed the fabric on the seat.

 I have old hat boxes on the top of the cabinet that are filled with lace,   I made a flower box out of the drawer,  and the lower cabinets are filled with spray paint and craft glue.

The upper part of the cabinet is filled with odds and ends.     I used a decorated clothes pin to clip a white wicker wall basket to the chicken wire on the doors.   The lady clipped to the other door is a hand painted wooden light switch cover....see where the switch goes ....the little rectangle in the top of the roses on her chest area.

I am so pleased with the progress that has been made in the studio....

Kyleigh and I are working together to fix up her play area that is behind this wall.....I can't wait to show you !
