I created a fun Thanksgiving vignette in the entry with my life size wooden Pilgrims and two ships that may or may not (lol) resemble the Mayflower and the Speedwell. |
I am sure the captain of the Mayflower didn't have an Atlas, but he must have had some kind of chart to get him to America. |
I bought my Pilgrims at the auction a couple of years ago. Their faces have been carved from wood and are hand painted. I Pennyfied them with some pink clothing..... |
Adorable Thanksgiving vignette! It is YOU!
ReplyDeleteHi Penny..You have to know you are a neat part of my day. I don't miss a detail of what you do. It's fascinating!!
ReplyDeleteI see things in your home that I've never seen before and find myself mumbling to myself.."OH MY GOSH..would you just look at that!" and realize I've spoken right out loud when sweet husband answers from the other room! I love the way you are able to get your pretty pinks in everything! Adorable!!
Your pictures and decors are so pretty. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family

ReplyDeletePennyfy... love that, somehow, I don't think pink was in their repretoire, but ...then they are living with you now...so!
ReplyDeleteThey are cute and I love the boats. I hadn't realize there were two. Thanks for the history and view of the 'real' pilgrims, Sandi
