Spring She Shed

It was 83 degree's here in Eastern New Mexico yesterday and today is supposed to be just as warm.     H and I spent the day in the back yard enjoying the sun and doing a little work....not a lot....just a little...lol!

Pink Garden Hose

I get questions all the time about where I purchased the pink garden hose you see me use in my vignettes.    I ordered it from Amazon several years ago and they have not restocked them.   I've combed the internet trying to find one for you guys ....with no luck    SO,    I decided to try my hand at making one!

Lucky Meadow Farms

Happy St Patrick's Day everyone!     I don't normally decorate for St Patrick's Day,   but H & I are pretty much staying home now and with extra time on my hands I decided to make a wreath and decorate a little in the entry.

Simple Spring Porch Decor

I found this old wooden tool box several years ago in an old barn in upstate New York.        I brought it back home to New Mexico with me and you may remember seeing me use it many times in my vignettes.

Spring Back Porch

The Bradford Pear tree's that line the drive in our front yard are in full bloom and I couldn't wait to cut some of the blossoms for a pretty bouquet.

Lavender Farm Spring Mantel

I share pics of the family dining room all the time,   but I seldom show the formal dining area.    The main reason I don't share it often is because I don't change out the decor except for Christmas,   Thanksgiving and Easter.     I change the decor on those holidays because we have our special family meals in the formal dining area at those times.

Spring Sun Room

Sunny,  60, with a lite breeze.....I couldn't have asked for a prettier day to enjoy the sun room.     I haven't styled a tiered stand in a while,   so I thought it would be fun to design one to set in the armoire

Lambs & Lavender Spring Buffet

Lambs are at the top of my list of animals to use in my spring decorating.    Lavender isn't a color I use a lot in my home,  but in the spring ....it's a favorite.....so,  I couldn't wait to combine the two and design a Lamb & Lavender Spring Buffet

Metal Tractor Planter

I would have never thought of shopping at a farm store for home decor until I went with H one day to get cat food.    Wow,   was I surprised to see what great farmhouse decor they had.     Tractor Supply is now one of my favorite places to shop!    Not only do they have home decor,  when I stopped in the other day they had metal stock tanks with heat lamps full of  baby chicks and ducks   They were so sweet!   It brought back memories of when I was a little girl ....about 5 years old.....and how excited I would be when we had a new batch of chicks in the hen house.

Spring Mantel

I know we will still have a few cold days here in Eastern New Mexico........but for the next 10 days the weatherman says the temps will be in the mid 60's so I'm just going to enjoy spending time in the yard    The early mornings are still cool,  so I stayed inside and decorated the mantel in the family room for Easter yesterday.

Repurposed Chair Springs & Pickup Spring Banner

I just love to use old springs in my spring decorating.    I used these old chair springs to make egg nests last season,  so this year I wanted to use them in a different way.     This time,   I used them like a vase to hold a simple bouquet of  fabric carrots.

Just Paint It

Paint is absolutely the fastest,  cheapest,  and easiest way to make the biggest impact on anything you want to give a fresh look!       I found a cute table at a yard sale for $3 and a coat of white paint entirely changed the look of it.
