Pennyfied Gnomes and Christmas Cookies

We are enjoying  a wonderful "family day" today!   Everyone is just doing whatever....relaxing.....cooking.....wrapping presents....
 Me...what am I doing?
I had picked up some styrofoam cones  about a month ago to make some shabby gnomes for the sun room and I thought if I didn't make them today.....I probably never would.

I sat in the sun room with my glue gun and pile of scraps & bling and enjoyed making my gnomes.

I put my finished gnomes in an old carpenter box and sat it on the coffee table.

I really need to put a new battery in the clock over the sofa.....it's actually 2:00 in the afternoon.....lol!

My Mr Gnome has a beard made with a triangular piece of bling that came from one of my worn out flip flops that I cut apart to use for projects just like this one....lol!      Mrs Gnome has a skirt made with a small scrap of crystal trim.

I slipped a vintage bracelet over the top of this gnomes hat.....

The other small gnome has a bracelet slipped over his hat as well,   and a nose and mustache made with a single pearl earring.

The finishing touch to my Gnome vignette is a pretty sign......Family IS a blessing in disguise...don't you agree!

Is anyone wondering what H and Kyleigh are up to today.....

I'll give you a hint.....look at the green milk glass hob nail Christmas tree

But first,   a simple vignette on the table next to the sofa........    a little fairy  sitting on Santa's lap telling him what she want's for Christmas.

Did you guess what  H and Ky have been doing.....wonderful memories for our lovely grand daughter and her Papa.

Ky's recipe for her Christmas cookies is ....spread peanut butter on a Ritz cracker,  dip it in melted Almond Bark,  and sprinkle with peppermint.

H's recipe for Macaroon Sugar Cookies is one he cut off an instant mashed potato box 30 years ago.

The Sand Tart recipe is one that my mother always made every Christmas.   The recipe is in her handwriting...hope you don't have any trouble reading it.

I have a quick Christmas tour around the sun room......

I just added a couple of Mark Roberts Fairies to the existing vignette in the armoire.

More fairies on the table next to the sofa.

And lastly,  the Christmas Fairy Garden  that I showed you in a previous post.
