I unpacked my spring/summer fairies and put the Mark Roberts Christmas fairies in their tote. When it's time to put the Christmas fairies out.....I'll do the same thing only in reverse! It's a never ending circle....lol!

I like to keep my fairy gardens in the sun room, but I wanted to give it a different look. So, I took the fairies and houses that were in the armoire last summer and put them on the buffet. |
|
In the photo on the left, you can see how I set my fairy garden up.....the first time. I used a silk potted plant in a metal container and a vintage round wooden frame as the focal point. Then added my fairies and houses. I stood back and looked at it.....it looked okay, but it didn't pop!
In the photo on the right, you can see how the addition of some color, fairy lights, and a wreath above the buffet made it POP! Now that's more like it! H also stapled some fringe to the buffet to dress it up a little. |
|
I love the fairy lights that I ordered from Amazon....they weave all thru the garden and you can barely see them! |
|
I don't have a lot of those expensive furniture pieces that I see in the stores ......most of my pieces are yard sale and clearance isle finds. |
|
I haven't found my good luck four leaf clover in the fairy garden yet....but I'm still looking! |
|
This couple has really been "around the block" You saw them first out in the greenhouse.....last summer they were in the armoire and now they are on the buffet. |
|
You may recognize my gnome and his side kicks from the Christmas fairy garden...... |
|
The only thing new in my fairy garden is the pink Cosmos flowers that I picked up at HL over the week end. |
|
The calendar may say January, but my sun room says SPRING! |

This is such a pretty display. I love all your fairies...my grandgirls would love them too. Blessings to you Penny. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteWhen I see those pieces in the stores I always think I'd like to start a fairy garden. Your is so very sweet!
ReplyDeleteThat really looks like a spot to just stand and look for them! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteLOL- I love the little crocheted dress pillow---besides your sweet and gorgeously green garden, gnomes fairies and all. I do think this is a great idea, and I may do this in the front window just for a change, and like you, I won't have to buy anything. Besides, can always, make something! Very cute Penny, love it. Sandi
ReplyDeletePenny, your fairy garden is enchanting! I love the fairy lights and the pink cosmos. What fun to have this in your sunroom where you can sit on warm sunny days this time of year and enjoy it. Thanks so much for sharing with us and have a beautiful day.

Penny,
ReplyDeleteThis fairy garden is so adorable and how perfect it is to keep it set up in the Sun Room!! A prefect place for it!! And to change it with the seasons and Holidays is such a wonderful idea! Maybe I will just have to work on creating an indoor space for my Fairy Garden pieces when I bring them in after Summer is over.....We were spared the brunt of the storm this weekend as we were located too far north and west for the heavy snow but we still got about 4-5 inches which is nothing compared to what some other parts of Pa. got.....I posted about it for Rudolph Day on my Christmas Blog...
Hugs,
Deb
