Spring Mantle

I had intended to take down the old piece of windmill that has been on the mantle for a while,   but I'm not tired of it yet,  so why should I take it down!      I want to use it outside in one of my flower beds,  so you will see it soon in a different location....probably...maybe....unless I change my mind.

Since the windmill is the "centerpiece" of the mantle,   I wanted to decorate on it and around it.

I sat a sweet bunny in between two of the windmill blades.   And,  between the other two blades I sat a chicken wire tussie mussie filled with roses.   The chicken wire tussie mussie was a cloche in a previous life.

The inspiration for my spring mantle was some clearance isle finds at Joann's.    The plates,   banner,  and chalk board picks all share the same theme....gorgeous roses...my favorite flower.

The rose banner is over 9 feet long,   so I gathered some of the flags in the center of them mantle right under the bunny.

My banner was in the clearance isle on sale for $5,

but wait,  I got it cheaper with my 25% off coupon on my total purchase.

Here is the vignette that I have on the left side of the windmill.....

I love these new containers that have a metal lid with holes in it.    Just pop your stems in for an instant floral design.

Here is what I have on the right side of the windmill......

My new yard sale topiary and the plates and chalk board pick that match the banner.

I love the botanical look that my spring banner has......

We are looking forward to more warm weather here in Eastern New Mexico this week,   so I hope to get out in the yard and clean some flower beds.   .

Spring Time.....speaking of time...did you remember to set your clock ahead today?
