Vintage Step Stools

H got the bid on a bright yellow vintage step stool a couple of Saturdays ago....$3.    I knew I had one at home , but didn't realize that the two would be "twins"    Just alike,  except one was dull green and the other bright yellow.

I decided to put them together to make a plant stand for the back yard.

A couple of coats of Valspar pink spray paint and they looked like they had always been together.....

I laid a pink shutter across the seats to set plants on....

The steps add extra "shelves" to set more garden whimsy on.....

Are you ready for Easter?

The weather is supposed to be mild here on Easter Sunday,   perfect for a egg hunt in the back yard and a big family dinner on the front porch farm table!

  19. WOW love your backyard, it's amazing! A step stool like that is on my must have list, but it won't be pink, I think black and jadeite fit my home so much better. Thanks for linking up to Friday Frenzy at Little House Big Alaska : )

  23. You always amaze me with how you think outside the box with items. You find new uses for things outside what it was intended for and it totally works! Then you arrange it in such a way that it looks like it had always been meant for it's new purpose. You are so creative.

  38. So glad to have found this link-up party through Sue at Sizzling Towards Sixty. I have been hanging with a younger blogger crowd and while it keeps me young at heart, we don't have a lot in common. I am afraid your beautiful blog and creative ideas might be dangerous to my budget but throwing caution to the wind!! Leslie @ onceuponatimehappilyeverafter.com
