Christmas in July

We're having a get together later this month and I wanted the theme to be "Christmas in July".      I have the food all figured out,  but the decorations,  well,   not so much!

I had sseen some idea's on the web for some Christmas in July tree's......but nothing really appealed to me.     Plus,   I didn't want to only have a tree up for a short time and then have to take it down.....lol!

My solution for a Christmas in July tree was to construct a chandelier tree on a plant holder I normally use to display my hanging plants.     I plan to leave my chandy tree up all summer.....maybe even year round.

If you look close,    you will see all the chandeliers I've hung on the plant stand arms.    Then I strung my lights and tied them on the arms with rag strips.

I plan to add some Christmas touches around the yard closer to the event.     I'll try to remember to get pics for you guys.....and some pics of the food too!     Strawberry short cake with a dollup of green colored cool whip will be one of the things I'll serve.    A Christmas tree charcuterie board.....Sugar cookie dip.......fun food!

I'll have the Sanctuary open for our guest to wander thru......as well as the green house and Studio.

I store the faux flowers that I use to make all the floral designs you see me use in my home decor  in an old Christmas tree in the studio.......

This tree is up year round but it will still add to my Christmas in July theme.    I plan to decorate the metal tiered stand you see under the tree on the left side.     Just by adding some lights and shiny Christmas tree balls to the tiers it will give the room just the little touch of  Christmas I'm looking for.

Tabby was lounging in her chair watching me take photo's all afternoon.....but the minute I tried to take her picture..... off she goes!      Why you gotta  be like that Tabby?

  4. Penny, Surely you know by now that every cat knows exactly when you want them to do something so that they can ABSOLUTELY not do it! I have had as many as 9 teaching me that.
P.S. LOVE the tree idea. It's all about the lights.
