Shabby Jack Tablescape

I was thinking that with the start of the Olympics I would make a Shabby Jack flag tablecloth.  I thought a tea party would be an appropriate theme.  I used  round white plates as chargers with square plates on top.

I have been collecting tea cups, saucers, and tea infusers for quite a while.

I used very small milk glass and silver vases at each place setting with fresh roses in each one!

This is my "Mother" teapot.

This is one of my favorite teacups, it belonged to my mother. I kept the table setting very simple.  I just tied a piece of lace around the silverware and put a little bling on top!  This piece is just a vintage earring.

This is one of the guests for the party.  She is wearing a big English hat!  This rosebud from the garden is so sweet.

Her hat was hand made by me!

Isn't this a sweet tea pot?

Fresh roses from the garden!

This is what my Shabby Jack tablecloth looked like before I started the tablescape.  I used sheets  I had on hand that were well worn and very soft.  The rose fabric is some that I got at an estate sale for $3 ( I only used half of it)
For the center piece, I married a swan candle holder with a beautiful pink light fixture, hung tea infusers, filled the fixture with tea cups, roses, and a bird nest.  Very simple!
I will be partying here!!!

  23. Wow. That's all really amazing and turned out very, very nice. The centerpiece, bust and hat and . . . everything - very "clever" as Michele (above my comment) has said. Gosh - overflowing with ideas.

Upon seeing your tea infusers, I immediately missed one I use to have - it was a teapot with a scalloped edge plain "plate" to sit under it. I have no idea what happened to it. Boy, sure wish I had it now.

Enjoyed my visit. Thanks and Happy Pink Saturday!
