| I'm doing a post today about the window treatments that I have around my home. I have some that are a little unusual and some that are very traditional. Some decorators think that you must have the same style throughout your home in order for it to "flow" That may be true to some extent, but I have always decorated my home with what I "like". I want it to be a reflection of my style, I want the things in my home to make me smile! I had this very short window in the bathroom that I didn't like! I wanted it to look longer!!! This is what I came up with! I used several lace table cloths, |

| I added some ribbon and flowers to the top and then hung our initial! It works for my first and last name and also the theme of the room PARIS!! |

| I also hung a OOOOO la laa sign! |
 |
| This is the window in the laundry room. I have an old wringer washer in there. I use the metal tubs to store all kinds of linens that I collect.. The old yellow bonnet on the handle was made and worn by my grandmother. I have a large collection of vintage pillow cases, so I thought it might be fun to make the window covering from them. |

| This is the window treatment in the guest bedroom. It has sheers, a valance made from pillow shams, and the sides of the window treatment are wedding gowns!!!! Yep, I loved all the lace and trim so I just folded the bodace over the curtain rod and let them hang!! |

| This is just a simple window covering in the kitchen window, but the rose swag and plates dress it up! |

| These are my tradition drapes that are in the formal dining room. |

| This window dressing is out in my studio. I had some beautiful embroidered full sheets that I just loved. So, here is how I hung them. The picture doesn't show it very well, but they are hung thru a rosette. |

| This is another window covering in the studio! These are the sofa back and arm covers, the work that went into these is just beautiful!! |

ReplyDeleteI recently changed our master bedroom curtains from tab light blue curtains to chocolate brown blackout. What a positive difference they made.
I still want to purchase something for our patio doors. Maybe I'll get some ideas from my tour!

I love that you've used vintage wedding dresses as curtain dressings. That's a beautiful way to display them. And, oh how neat that you have your grandmother's bonnet. ReplyDeleteThe windows are quite simple and plain. I think that what made them presentable and dazzling are those exquisite curtains hanging in front of them. Those curtains are classy and their delicate appearance makes a certain room look elegant.
