There have been many vignettes in this corner of the sun room. Christmas trees...easter trees...and finally, a table. |
I have the table all set for breakfast in the morning... |
This is the vintage tablecloth and dishes that I bought at an estate sale last Friday...there is a post that shows all of my treasures. |
I used a simple bouquet of flowers tied with a burlap bow for the centerpiece. |
I made this dried flower wreath last summer from flowers in my garden... |
I added a touch of Valentine with this sweet couple...and the pillow behind them says "and they lived happily ever after" |
I decided to display some of my pink milk glass... |
and my one and only piece of aqua milk glass. I'm always on the look out for more! |
Did I mention that we have a new rug for the sun room? Isn't it gorgeous? |
I think we will really enjoy our new eating area! |

Wow, it is beautiful out there! I bet you use your sun room even more often with the table in place. Such a romantic setting.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to put a table out there-it looks like a perfect spot for dining! Love your new Aubusson rug. I have a similar one that was $700 about 20 years ago. You got a real buy there!!! I hope you have a wonderful night.xo Diana
ReplyDeleteUmm...WOW! That wreath is gorgeous! I love it :-) Hopped over from A Crafty Soiree

Penny, I love your table cloth and the sweet dishes on the table. I don't think I've seen pink or turquoise milk glass before. Your sunroom is a great spot to dine all year. Love the vintage chairs. Pamela ~ playingwithmycamera
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful spot to start your morning! Love the chairs, even better that they belonged to your parents.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous sun porch you have. It's so romantic looking. That's a lovely wreath too.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Penny ~ your room looks heavenly. I would love to have a sunroom! I love your wreath and especially the fact that the flowers came from your garden. That is so cool! That rug is divine and a complete steal at $100! I have one similar to it...very similar in fact. It's pink and has all of the sculpted roses, etc. I don't know how big your rug is, but mine is HUGE. It takes up our entire family room! Anywho...great post! xo
ReplyDeleteLove the colors!!
ReplyDeletePenny,
ReplyDeleteI really adore your Sun Room. I would die to have a room like this!! Great idea to set up a table in there....
The rug is to die for and so is your pink and aqua milk glass. I have only seen pieces in books and not in person. They are non-existent in these parts!!
I see the green grass and sun through the window....
We are getting plummeled with rain with temps. in the 50 's now and flood warnings.....
Weirs weather is all I can say... Were you able to link up to Wow Us Wednesdays???
Hugs,
Deb
Penny. I don't even know were to start! Are you kidding me? You made that wreath? From flowers that were in your garden?? Amazing. I am jealous that you just even got to go to an estate sale, but then those dishes...gorgeous. I love that soft 1950s look. I bet you'll be so glad you moved that table to the sun room and wonder why you hadn't done it sooner. Funny how things work that way! Everything is so pretty!
