I am in love with lavender this spring! I have a beautiful spring table ready for H and I to enjoy a simple breakfast...
Our breakfast room is just flooded with sunlight and we can see out into the back yard as we eat... |
I used my french drying rack for the centerpiece...yes, again...it has turned out to be one of my best "go to " pieces! First, I put a heart wreath in the center, added cups, ribbon, pansies... |
I filled white ironstone coffee cups with moss and eggs... |
I love these paper mache glittered carrots! I got them last year at Tuesday Morning on clearance... |
I used paper plates..yes, paper plates for the place setting! Paper plates come in such beautiful patterns, they are inexpensive (who can afford tons of nice dishes) and you don't have to wash them! I have some milk glass ready to fill with orange juice.. |
And some cute little egg holders for our eggs... |
Here is a close up of the vintage table cloth...someone crocheted a border all the way around it...beautiful work! |
To the side of the table, I hung a lavender wreath on top of the existing plate hanger... |
I bought this wreath last year at a yard sale for $3..it was plain..so, I added a ribbon, a few more flowers, and a cute little chick! |
I did a little vignette on the table below the wreath. |
On the pass thru behind the table, I put a nest that fell out of our tree's in the front yard...a cute foil polka dot egg, and an Easter plate... |
I have a chandy on one of my mothers famous starched doilies...she loved doing them and I have quite a few! |
This is where I sit, H sits across from me because he likes to face the window so he can see outdoors... what's that by the refrigerator? Our new media center!! LOL I will do a separate post our vintage phones with all the details! |

Hello there Penny,
ReplyDeleteThis refreshing pretty color scheme is so uplifting and Springlike. Your french drying rack for the centerpiece is so pretty with your heart wreath in the center, your lovely cups, Easter eggs, ribbons and pansies. The white ironstone coffee cups with moss and eggs tucked inside is adorable... Also the papier mache glittered carrots are such a nice touch.
I especially love the honeycomb, birds nest and very pretty teapot, even your pretty paper plates and napkins on the fresh white tea-trolley-table with the crisp white chairs as you enjoy a Spring breakfast in your breakfast room that is just flooded with sunlight and that you can see out into the back yard as we eat... Delightful! And all with the whimsy and loveliness, the charm of your vintage Pansy motif table cloth... And so much more! Wow!
Thanks for sharing this delightful Spring breakfast with all of us. Happy teatime in blogland.
Cheers, blessings and hugs from Wanda Lee
