Pinkqua Tablescape

I bought a beautiful set of aqua dishes at a yard sale last Friday

They are marked Lifetime China Co ...Alliance Ohio....Gold Crown...

I kept looking at them...thinking..the last thing I need is 50 more dishes to store!  But,....I do a lot of table scapes for my blog...finally the lady came over and said I could have them all for $15!!  What could I do???      SOLD!
There are seven pieces in a place setting and there are four complete settings.....a platter, cream and sugar, and lots of extra pieces.
I used some vintage pillow cases folded in half for the place mats....

Gold silverware...
This is a tea set that belonged to my mother...the lid to the sugar bowl is gone, but I still love it!
I used a large crocheted tablecloth...

This is a beautiful rose butter dish....I think these little crystal holders that keep the butter knife from touching the tablecloth are so sweet!

This is the floral design that I put on the buffet...

I have displayed assorted pink and aqua dishes on the buffet....a vintage clock under a cloche...

There were two extra creamers in the set.  I showed you the large one earlier with the $25 sticker on it.  There is also a matching sugar and creamer that is in my Tea Time post..

Til next time...

As i said before, this set of dishes is stunning!!
Your Mother's tea set is lovely! I really love how you used the pillow cases for place mats!! So smart! Your centerpiece on the Buffet is spectacular! And I adore your aqua and pink fiesta ware pitchers!!
I did not know that fiestaware came in those colors!!
I am hoping to go to some yard sales after work on Saturday morning. I started walking at work for about 15 minutes up and down the halls but that was a mistake because i guess it was too much impact on my knee because my knee has been very swollen and painful so I better just stick to my stationary bike. I want to be sure that i can walk okay before going yard saling!!LOL!

    Hugs,
    Deb

  9. These dishes are gorgeous! When I first saw them,I knew that they had to be Homer Laughlin. My post explains a litte bit about why HL dishes often have different company names on the back.http://tablescapesbybev.wordpress.com/2013/05/11/mothers-day-tablescapes-two-variations/
I also found this online, which backs up what I had posted on my blog:
Lifetime China based in Alliance, Ohio, was one of the sales organizations of the Cunningham & Pickett Group of Alliance Ohio. Lifetime was a distributor of dinnerware, not a manufacturer. Their products were distributed from 1953 through 1968, with most of these being made by the Homer Laughlin China Company. Most Lifetime China china bares a pattern name as part of the backstamp, making identification easy.
Lovely, and quite a find! Beautiful table!
