Farmhouse Fall Wreath

I love summer,  but I guess I'm going to have to accept the fact that it's almost over.....sigh!

I've started adding fall touches to our home and I wanted to share the Farmhouse Fall wreath that I made this morning for the dining area in the great room..

Before..................................................................After

The wreath that I made for the pass thru between the kitchen and dining area is the centerpiece of the vignette.   I started my wreath  by attaching a metal rooster to one side of an oval grapevine wreath.

I made a nest for my rooster from some natural grasses that I collected last week on a farm road.

Here's the bush that I snipped a few stems of what we call "wild sage" here in New Mexico.

Then I filled in around my wild sage with some pink cotton stems that I made a couple of weeks ago.

On one side of my wreath,   I have a tobacco basket and a ball of cotton bolls.    On the other side,   I have a metal bucket containing a big ball of cotton bolls and a smaller ball next to it.

I have a rose oil painting peeking out from behind the wreath......and I tied a pink and cream check bow on the top of my wreath.

Have you started your fall decorating yet?
I'd love to see what you've done.....just drop me a comment  with a link to your post and I'll stop by and visit!
