Fall Farmhouse Tablescape

I began to think I wasn't going to get my tablescape changed out this week!      On Thursdays,   I try to set the table with different dishes that we will use all week long.
I was really running behind because we had a big limb on one of the trees in the backyard break off and land on the greenhouse.     More on that later!      The limb was so big you couldn't even see the greenhouse....it's been a big clean up!    I took lots of photos and will do a post on it pretty soon.

Before I share my tablescape,   I wanted to show you the new wall decor in the family dining room.     I took down the mirror you see in the photo on the left.....it's new home will be in one of the guest rooms.     I replaced my mirror with the Farm to Table sign you've been seeing on the ledge of the big display cabinet in the family dining room.    Then I hung a big mirror under the sign.....where's the mirror you ask!    Well,   what you see is the back side of the mirror.    The back side of the mirror was prettier than the front side...lol!    I loved the old weathered wood that holds the mirror in.

I layered a chippy white frame on the back side of the mirror.

Then I attached a white sconce to my piece of wood that I plan to use as an easel.    I can also hang stuff from the candle holder arms,   like a Pumpkin Farm sign.     I played with my easel for a while.   First I set a canvas print of an old weathered barn.

Then,    I used my easel/ sconce to hold two copper metal pumpkins

I also used my easel/sconce to hold a pom pom wreath!

It was so much fun to try different things on my easel.....who knows what I'll have on it next week!

Now for this weeks tablescape.......

My "container" for my center piece is a copper French drying rack....

I sat an ivory painted  mason jar in the center of my rack and filled it with flowers cut from our yard.

I hung tea cups around the bottom of  the rack that match the dishes......

I used my copper flat ware and some owl paper napkins.....

Here is a close up of the plates and the mfg info on the back.

I made some changes on the buffet and changed out the pillows in the chairs on each side of it.

Pretty pastel pumpkin pillows in the chairs......

And if you think you've seen this pumpkin before,  you're right!

It was the centerpiece for last weeks tablescape.
If you missed that post,  here's a link to it......http://penny-pennystreasures.blogspot.com/2017/09/burnish-copper-and-blush-fall-tablescape.html

I liked the copper metal pumpkins in the easel,

But,  in the end,  I liked the old barn picture the best!    Guess I'll have to find a new home for the metal pumpkins!

  6. First of all, so sorry to hear about the tree limb coming down on your greenhouse. :-/

Your tablescape is absolutely beautiful! It just feels so inviting and just lovely! I crawled into the pictures.

Your family is blessed to have a person in their lives to put such effort into making a house a home.

    I enjoyed my visit immensely!

  8. Penny,
Love all the changes you have made! Loved the barn oicture against the stained wood. Very pretty!! I have been so busy cleaning the living Room, changing the curtains and linens and decorating it for Fall. I have to decorate my Autumn Tree and underneath it and then I am done with the Living Room and can move on to doing Halloween in the Dining Room......

  11. Oh my gosh I was just thinking the same thing -- I love that barn picture the best! And you're totally after my own heart -- loving the back of the mirror better -- I do, too! I have that drying rack in bronze and never thought of putting flowers in the middle of it. What a great idea! Your tablescape (and room) is fabulous! Thanks for sharing at Vintage Charm:)
