Pastel Cabbages and Carrots in my Spring Tablescape

I am so ready for spring,   aren't you!

I wanted to co ordinate my tablescape with the metal tire floral design that hangs in the pass thru.

I also have the table set with pastel carrots that are covered with the same fabrics as the carrots that are on the garland hanging around the tire.

First,   I'm going to show you the centerpiece on my spring tablescape,

The centerpiece is in a white enamel flower basket.

I have roses,  eucalyptus,  and succulents in the centerpiece but the real stars are the pastel cabbages.    ..

I have white,  pink,  and green french print silk cabbages in my basket.

I found these cabbages at Hobby Lobby many years ago and wish they would stock them again.

Here is the back side of the centerpiece.

The pastel carrots on the table were orange before their makeover.

Before................................................................After

The makeover was easy.......wrap the carrot in fabric and tie the top and bottom with a thin strip of fabric.

I couldn't decide whether to put the carrots on the plate or beside the plate.

In the end,   I decided I like them just a tiny bit better on the side of the plate..

I didn't have 6 of the same bunny plates,  so I used 4 pink ones.......

Then,    I used a white bunny plate at each end of the table as a charger for a floral plate.

I have two pink glasses at each end of the table.....should have had 3.    I am so used to just setting the table for 4 that I forgot to set 2 more glasses.     I'll get a couple more out before we sit down to eat.

I have vintage salt and pepper shakers at each end of the table.

I have pastel egg paper napkins at each setting.

The table cloth is pastel floral quilt that you've seen me use many times before.

If you missed the post on the metal tire swing,   here's a link to it.......http://penny-pennystreasures.blogspot.com/2018/02/cabbages-in-metal-tire-swing-and-pastel.html

To add a final touch of spring to the dining room,   I hung a colorful spring sign over the leaded glass piece in the window.
Thanks for stopping by,   see you soon!

  8. While our styles are a bit different...I love ivory, whites and simple swedish decor...the thing I love the very most about your site is that you seem to have so much fun and enjoy what you do so much. That is really priceless and a wonderful thing to convey. I do really like many of your choices...would love to find some white cabbages, so fun. The bunny plates are so cute. And a cute idea for carrots, love that too.

  9. Penny,
What an adorable tablescape! That centerpiece is simply stunning! Love those cabbages. Truth be told, I am still taking down Winter and Valentine's Day decor. Since Joe can not help me take tubs up and down the attic because of his fractured rib, I have been doing so myself and I have to really be careful of my knee and back!
    Hugs,
    Debbie

  10. Oh Penny, you outdo yourself each week for our eye candy, I love the cabbages, they are really unique, I think if someone wanted to try, cabbages could be made out of coffee filters.
Thank you for sharing on OMHG Wonderful Wdnesday Linky Party.
