Pink Owls & Plaid Pumpkins

I don't use a calendar to tell me when it's time to decorate our home for a holiday or season      If I have an idea and the time ....I JUST DO IT!       Decorating should be fun....not just another chore!

I usually put up a thin Christmas tree in the kitchen,   and this year I thought I would enjoy a fall tree in the kitchen.    With the tree already in place,   it will be an easy to transition it into a Christmas tree.

I bought a couple of these blingy pink owls at At Home last year,    They have them in stock again this season so I bought two more.

They are as pretty from the back as they are from the front......

Look at that sweet little head!

I filled in my tree with small textured pumpkins,     white roses.......

White sunflowers and a buffalo check garland.

Next to my fall tree,    I hung the metal Antique sign that was previously in the family dining room.

Instead of a tree skirt around the tree,    I sat pumpkins in a bed of white ferns.

I have a pumpkin patch on the counter next to the fall tree.....

Well,   I don't know if you could call it a patch since there's only one pumpkin!

My pumpkin patch is in the pass thru from the kitchen to the family dining room

You can see the kitchen from this side.....

And you can see the family room from this side.

I always enjoy your visits so much,    please come back again soon!

  3. Good morning Penny, Oh, how cute the owls are. I love both pink and the black and white with the big plaid pumpkin. I do like the cute fall designs you create. I just read the Old Farmer's Almanac this morning and you better come up with loads of Winter decorations as we are so supposed to have a long cold one. Well, need next Spring really early to cheer us up.
For now I am going to enjoy every beautiful warm day we have as the nights are already cooling down a lot.

  4. Penny,
I am totally in love with your sweet Fall Kitchen Tree!!! Love what you used to decorate it!! You are making me now think about having a Fall tree in my Kitchen because I liked when you said that the Tree would already be there for Christmas. As you know, I do have a Tree in the Kitchen for Christmas and setting it up for Fall would save me time at Christmas!! Thanks so much for the Inspiration!!!
